Throughout the year, we reflect on our customers’ experiences with our tools. Some changes bring small design improvements, while others introduce new sets tailored for more specific types of work.
Changes in the knife range
The spoon knife with small handle is compact in length and comfortable to hold even if you have smaller hands. Currently available with a blade diameter of 20 mm for right-handed users.
All our spoon knives now have the opposite tip of the edge slightly rounded. This modification distributes the pressure over a larger surface when you rest your finger on the back of the knife, making work more comfortable.
Among the knives that we mount on a small handle, you will now also find the N2s knife. The blade is the same as in the version with a larger handle. Knives with a narrower handle are suitable for smaller hands. We offer the N1, N1s, N3s, N7, and N10 knives with smaller handles as standard. The N2s is currently limited, but if there is interest, we will add it to our permanent production.
The long, universal N6 knife has undergone a major change. The blade is now one millimeter narrower and 2 mm longer (61 mm). The slimmed-down “belly” and slightly longer blade correspond to its main use as a universal Nordic-type knife. Thanks to this modification, you can achieve smaller curvatures and make better use of the tip of the blade for fine detail work.

New sets
We’ve added a universal PLAN-CUT-SET, designed for more versatile knife carving. The set includes a spoon knife with a reduced handle (20 mm right-handed version).
For relief printmaking techniques we’ve put together the SET OF 5 GRAPHIC GOUGES (SLH2) with a pear-shaped handle, selected specifically for relief printing work. We’ve also added premium natural-based inks from the British manufacturer Cranfield. You can read more about mixing color inspiration in our article “Color in Printmaking.”

Last but not least, we would like to draw your attention to our semi-finished products for carving. We offer animal figures and Christmas-themed nativity scenes with baby Jesus, which are also available separately. We believe that they can also be a suitable gift in combination with our carving knives or as part of team activities.
