The Sláma Press is a unique press designed for manual printing from “relief” (lino, woodcut), from “hollow” (drypoint, etching, aquatint, mezzotint) and from the surface (lithography). It uses the pressure of rotating steel balls for printing. Its advantage over roller presses is its low purchase price, the possibility of printing on paper and fabric without format restrictions and easy storage. Working with this press does not require much physical strength, even children can use it.
The press is produced in two versions: small, all-metal for printing small formats and large with a wooden handle and additional weights, suitable for larger formats. Weights are NOT included.
